Badoogie
is by far the strangest game to explain, and is not really
even a Poker Game because you never end up using 5 cards,
however this is a new game being played in the poker rooms
of Las Vegas so we have included it in our list. Badoogie
consists of 4 betting rounds total begining with only FOUR
cards dealt face down to each player just as in 5 Card Draw.
However in Badoogie you can draw three times which allow
for four different bet sessions. One when you receive your
first four cards and one each time you draw. Badoogie is
a lowball only game with your goal being an Ace, 2, 3, 4
with all four suites being different. So straights and Aces
don't hurt you in this game but pairs and flushes do. You
want to have no pairs and no 2 cards with the same suite
in your hand if possible.Any hand with no pair and 4 different
suits is called a "Four Card Badoogie". So a hand with 2,2,3,4
even with all 4 different suits would be called a "Three
Card Badoogie", and would lose to ANY four card Badoogie....even
A, K , Q, J multicolored.
So
any Four card Badoogie beats any 3 card Badoogie which beats
and 2 card Badoogie, which
would
be like 2,2,3,3 multicolored. This hand is only a 2 card
Badoogie because only 2 of the cards are not pairs even
though all four suits are different. This hand can only
beat a worse 2 card Badoogie hand like 5,5,7,7 multicolored
or ANY 1 card badoogie hand which would be and for card
flush or any 4 of a kind.
Not
that anyone would play these hands but just you can understand
the game: A four card flush or straight flush like 7,8,9,10
of hearts would be considered a 1 card Badoogie with the
highest card being the Ten, but this hand would still beat
the 1 card Badoogie hand of four Jacks since the Ten low
is lower that a Jack low.
